Had a creative Saturday

I had a creative Saturday.  I was waiting for my new niece, Sofia, to come home from the hospital, so I decided to make some jewelry.  I think I was pretty productive.

I found these Raider earrings last month, and had to glitz them up a bit.  So I added some crystals and a silver bead to each.  I think they look a lot better, well, for Raiders earrings.  LOL
Here's a close up of one side.  I will make 49ers earrings as soon as they come in, cause we have to have niner earrings!
This is my new necklace.  I'm not sure what to call them yet.  Dangly charms?  I just love the look of multiple dangly charms on one chain.  You can use all five on the necklace, or one or two.  I'll be making more of these.  And just the dangly parts to change them out.
Close up of the red  I had some red hearts and the dice is always fun to have on a necklace.
I also did a blue beach themed one, cause I just love the beach and all those beach colors.
I found these great starfish charms and snail shell beads that are so fun.
I found some oval pewter links at the bead show, and decided to use them in a few necklaces.  I think it looks great with the crystal beads and the cracked marble beads.
I used all the links together on the one above.  I love the different textures.  You can also flip them over and the patterns will match on the round and oval beads.
And this is my new pink heart necklace.  I always have to have everything match, this time I did it so they were opposite from each other.  I still don't know if I like the look, but I previewed it to my friends and they love it.  :)

Today was kind of a blah day, so I didn't get anything done.  Will have to work harder this week to get more done.

More Jewelry

After I made the earrings with the dangling head pins, I thought chain might look better.  And yep, I like it better.
I also found a little key in one of the charm packs that I bought, so I added that to the mix.  I really like how these came out.  The chain makes them more flowing.
So since I had my stuff out, I made a few more pair.  The above one has pink crystal beads on the bottom, it's hard to tell that though in the above photo.
My lighting isn't all that great, so when I take out beads, sometimes I'm not too sure on the color of the beads. I like this color combination though.
And the bottom bead on this one is like a tiger eye.  I really love the earth tones.
So I used the same type of bead above with these cool red rock beads that have a white grain to them.  I really have to figure out what I'm buying.
And another necklace for my friend Sharon.  She buys me beads to make things from.  She bought the large chain and the beads.  I added the round silver donut charm and the smaller chain to this.  It's weird, cause I didn't realize how limited you are when you only have so much stuff to work with. Guess that's why I have a lot of different beads.  :) (That's my story and I'm sticking to it).

Sparkly Goodness

Still working on some jewelry from some beads that a friend bought for me.  I love the asymmetrical look of having the beads on one side.  I hope that it is something she will like.
The beads are a purple tint.  It's hard to see from the photos.  I just love purple!
Not sure if she'll like it, or maybe she'll want the beads on the other side too.  We'll see what happens.
I made myself a necklace with purple beads. And I love dragons, so I had to add a dragon charm.  Again, love the different beads.  I may have to add more.
I also am back to making bullet casing earrings.  At the gun show this weekend, one of the women who had a jewelry booth just loved my earrings, I had the green "bullets" on that day.  And she said that I could get a booth there and sell a ton of them if I can make a bunch.  So I've decided just to keep making them and seeing where we go from there.  My co-workers loved these earrings.  They're very sparkly.
Close up of one side.  I found the little gold spacer beads at a garage sale.  Now I have to go find a bunch more.
These are purple gemstones.  Not quite sure what type cause you know, goes in one ear out the other?  LOL  I'll have to do some research.  Just love the purple color and the light green.

More earrings

These are a few pair of earrings I made last night.  The one above is for my friend Sharon at work.  She bought a bunch of beads cause she wanted me to make things for her.  I just love these oval beads!  And she loves long earrings, so I made her those and the ones below.
This pair matches the necklace I made for her a couple weeks ago.

And I made this pair for me.  I love the bottom bead, it's some type of gemstone.  I just love the colors.  I now have to find a shirt to wear with them.  LOL

Avon Strawberry Slicer

The other day I received my Avon Strawberry Slicer Set that I had ordered from my awesome Avon Rep, Tina. I just thought it was cute, and I love strawberries, so I had to get it.  I mean how can you not like something pink and strawberry shaped?

Phil got home yesterday from camping, and had two leftover pound cake loaves.  So we decided to make Strawberry Shortcake.  And I remembered that I could use the super cute slicer!  Well, can I say I love that little slicer even more!!  It really made cutting the strawberries fast and easy.  the huller I had no use for, cause it was a bit hard to squeeze to open.  But the cutter, that was so cool!

It really worked like those hard boiled egg cutters.  I love it!  We had cut the strawberries in no time flat.  Makes me want to get more strawberries!

Here is what the shortcake looked like.  It was so yummy in my tummy!  Now I have to try the Pineapple corer!

Happy Labor Day!

It's been a pretty productive weekend for me.  I had plans to see friends and go to movies, but I ended up staying home and making stuff.  I'm so behind at creating things that I just spent the weekend catching up.
I had a Miche purse party, and as a thank you gift to everyone that purchased a purse from my party, I am making them a purse charm.  The one above is for my friend Shiela who loves hearts and the color red.  I found some great beads at either Michael's or JoAnn's. I really love the big red heart.

I made the green one for my boss Nicole.  She loves the color green, and I had a bunch of green beads.  The big round bead at the bottom is one of my favorites.

Now, yellow is not my favorite color, but a girl from work saw the ones I made for people and wanted one with yellow beads.  I still think it may need more work, but it's a start.

Kay won my blog give away, so I made her a Halloween Hello Kitty Pocket keychain. I hope she likes it!

and lastly, my niece Kiana went away to College this past week.  I still can't believe she's a college girl now.  The time flew by so quickly.  So as a present for her, I embroidered a couple of towels for her dorm room.  I figure that way everyone knows whose towel this is.  LOL  She loves purple (she takes after her aunt in that respect).

I didn't get as much done as I liked, but I put a dent in what I needed to get done.   Maybe I'll get more stuff done this week...

More Jewelry"fixes"

My sister-in-law, Jackie, didn't like the way her necklace looked before with these rectangular black beads. (I should have taken a before photo.) And since I've become the jewelry fix-it-lady, she gave them to me to update for her.  So using a couple of beads that she had given me, and some really large beads I found at the flea market, I updated the look of her necklace.

I went to the DeAnza flea market today to look for different ribbons and beads.  But at the $2 jewelry booth, I found this really cute Winnie-the-Pooh bracelet.  I thought it was adorable!  So of course I had to buy it.  What a steal that was!

I also found a couple of pink Fiestaware rim soup bowls.  We love these bowls for pasta bowls, and over the years the kids had broken a couple of them.  I hadn't seen them in any of the stores lately, so I was really happy to see them at the flea market.

And lastly, here's a picture of Velcro.  She's been a bit more clingy to me lately since her brother has passed.  Not sure if she realizes he's gone yet.  They didn't hang out together much in the last few months.  She pretty much stayed in our room and he had the run of the house.  But she's been a bit more jumpy and skittish.  Hopefully she'll get over that and become a bit more like herself again

More Jewelry

A friend of mine wanted me to change a pair of earrings that she had because she didn't like the spirals that were on there with the black chain, then decided she didn't like the black chain either. So, she went to Michael's and bought a bunch of beads and chains. She had walked into Michael's and saw that they had beads on sale and just bought a few that she liked.

So, this is what I had done with the earrings.  I really didn't like any of the combinations with the black chain either, so I  just put silver chains together and it looked really cool!

She also wanted me to make her a necklace.  So I took her beads and added some of mine as well, and I think it came out really cool!  Love the colors she chose.

Lastly, one of my coworkers was sick this week.  So we sent him a fruit basket.  We all pitched in and bought him a bunch of fruit, and it turns out we had more fruit than basket.  LOL  So my friend Mai Lee and I put together these baskets.  It was too much fun!
